As a single mom raising 3 young men who were wondering “who am I and who do I want to be,” I tried to live a life they could model. Showing by example how to set positive goals and boundaries that could allow them to grow up to be the men they were meant to be. My personal journey became a house-cleaning: facing my truth, forging new paths, and getting rid of the old beliefs that never worked for me. Some of these beliefs have been hard to release, because they were things I couldn’t see, but I’m taking it one step at a time. The goal I’m aiming for is being able to look at myself in the mirror and say, “This is Mine, today.”
